Artist Statement

"If there wasn't so much junk lying around, I might be out of a job."

It all began with bike rides through the woods and finding heaps of refuse in rogue trash piles.

The volume of vacuum cleaners was no match for the bounty of remnants sitting, waiting for the transformation from "funk to function".

Anything from bike parts to airplane bits, and all forms, shaped and textures in between.

All of my creations, be they life forms or boxes, end up a sculpture. But, they are never finished until light is brought to them.

Thus the birth of "Post-Industrial Highlights".

Because, once the industry's had their turn, it's mine.

I hope to make an impact with my art by demonstrating that before we fill our landfills with needless material good, maybe we should look at it in a different light.
