Well well well... since we were blessed with yet another Friday the 13th this year, we had no other recourse than to have an Art Show. This time around it will feature some of Wendy's brilliant photography/postcards/possible silk screens, and magnificent paintings from Patrick Giles (truly a Master in his own time). And of course, some weird lamps by me. Along with us will be a table of hats knitted by Talibi - all handmade and influenced by her Haitian roots - very snappy stuff for sure.

- at sToRy hoUsE
- 11 SE 5th Ave. [in Gainesville - directions]
- 8:00-11:00pm / All Ages / FREE!
It is bound to be a great evening... drop in if you can make it over. It all starts around 8-ish and will creep on until late, so bring what you need and hang a spell.
Spring Break is about to end and I'm half way through my first semester (only 17 to go). The downtown arts festival is on for two weeks following. Ahhh... spring is in the air. Can you feel it? I am soooo ready for the weather to turn good.
Also thanks to Mr. Miller for being such a stickler that I won't forget the address (11 SE 5th Ave., right on the corner of South Main Street and 5th Avenue). As well as Wendy for helping the sToRy hoUsE happen, I also wanted to thank the Civic Media Center (CMC) for being our new neighbors - looks like the neighborhood is cleaning up.
We also have a few great art and music shows planned for the next couple of months:
- On the 20th of March, Juli Elin (from The Top) is having an installation show featuring some of her newest organic settings, and windows and doors to look through into another world.
- Then Loren Knack is having a CD-release party on the 4th of April:
"Upcoming Release + Poncirus trifoliata Seeds a CD release party for 'Seed, Fruit, Thorn' which is being released under my Dubbio Nil moniker on the Hymns label. You can preview the first part of the piece along with colors here. Each CD will come with one Poncirus trifoliata (Flying Dragon) seed, that when planted and cared for will produce a thorny citrus bush with beautiful blossoms. This particular citrus plant is cold hardy and can even withstand a low freeze."
